Talking to people: a discovery guide
How to set up and run good conversations with the people who live the problem, and turn what you hear into something you can use.
Most of an X-Labs project comes down to good conversations. Before you build anything, you go out and talk to the people who actually live the problem. This guide covers how to write down what you're assuming so you can test it, how to ask open questions that get past what people think you want to hear, how to take notes you can actually use later, and how to tell, conversation by conversation, whether you're onto something or need to change direction.
